The Guinness Global Records, formerly known as The Guinness Book of Records until 2000, is an annual magazine that contains a series of world records over the last 60 years, both for human and natural world achievements.

The book itself is a record-breaker, as it is the world's best-selling copyrighted book series.The franchise has grown to include television series in numerous nations throughout the world, as well as museums.


Because the first version of this book was published on the same day as today, but in 1955, we've compiled a list of the oddest records that have featured in various editions.


The longest distance a burnt and dragged person has traveled


Some records are extremely unusual, such as Jalapa Roland's 472.8-meter run while enveloped in flames and pulled by a horse.

Jean-Francois Vernetti is a Swiss who collects various types of "Do Not Disturb" posters and has 8,888 things in his home that he has collected in hotels across the world.

On September 9, 2007, the city of Derry, Ireland, had the world's largest gathering of people dressed as Santa Claus. They set a new Guinness World Record by being 12,965 Santas, which has yet to be surpassed.
